Founded in 2002, the Sage Foundation is an independent, 501 (c) (3) non-profit, non-governmental, charitable organization. The purpose of the Sage Foundation is to develop, foster and promote education in Central New Jersey K-8 Public Educational facilities and thorugh Youth Community Development. This major goal is to be achieved by encouraging the use of technology in education, and computers in classrooms. Towards this end, it will undertake the following activities:

• Make grants or loans that build knowledge and strengthen institutions of learning;
• Welcome contributions, gifts and bequests which create a diversified portfolio managed to provide a perpetual source of support for the Foundation's programs and operations supporting education;
• Seek and apply for sate, federal and private funds available in support of education.
• Develop awareness in the business communities, local governments and in the general public of the value of technology in education;
• Engage in any other activities that will enhance technology in education.
